I was on another forum (avs) and it has a neat feature.  When you hit "post a new topic", it looks at the topic you type in and performs a search for you and provides a list of links to those threads so you can see if someone has a similar topic going on.  Maybe that would reduce the endless threads on some common subjects.  I don't know if that could be added to this forum, but it looks like a really good feature.
