Title: Scheduled Maintenance for 4/26 beginning at 11:45PM CST

We will be performing maintenance on the site beginning at 11:45PM CST on April 26. Currently we are estimating completion by 7AM CST on April 27th. During this time the site will be unavailable.

Hope this means you are going to clamp down on multiple usernames and not allow VPN services. It is high time that something is done about the abuse of privileges.

"During" implies a period or range. You only specified a starting time.

Sorry about that, I typed too fast and didn't notice the missing end time. Right now we're estimating completion by 7AM CST. The plan is to move the site to a new server and upgrade the forum and other systems so your downtime may be affected based on how long it takes before your servers pick up our new ip after the move.

Yes, hitting the reply with quote option should result in quoting only the immediate post. Is there a way to automate that?

Kev, just mark everything as read, then log off and back in. Then, I am hoping from that point on, everything new will show up. Doing that now myself, so will see, but I would like to see everything sorted by forum like it used to be. If everything is just sorted by most recent post, that will be a mess.

1. When there is a series of replies, I find it difficult to see distinctly where one ends and the other begins. I think they need to be delimited by sharper boundaries with colors or lines.

2. When looking at the list of "unread posts since last visit", the same applies, plus it's harder to tell from what forum they came. The info is there but is harder to discern.

3. Where are the tags to mark a url? I placed one in a reply I posted and it appears as a solid line. I'd like it to appear either like before or just highlighted and underlines like it used to be. As it is, no one can tell what it is without you saying so, somewhere in the post.

4. While there was a lot of color before, at least it made things easier to see. Now with the extreme lack of color, it's much harder to pick out information, but it is easier on the eyes.

While I completely understand that some people are not going to like it when things change I want to thank you Charlest (and others) for giving some actionable feedback.

I'll check out #1,#2, and #4 probably on Monday since the 15 hour marathon session on Thursday night/Friday followed by more Friday night has taken quite a bit out of me and didn't leave me with an ecstatic fiance either.

As for #3, the forum now uses bbCode which you can read more about at: http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Bulletin_board_code (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Bulletin_board_code). If you check the "See Also" links on that page there are some lists that cover the different codes. The code you're looking for is url. it can be used in one of two ways:

It's difficult to find my recent posts and threads I've started. I have to manually go to the forum section where I posted in order to get to it. There used to be the tab on the left that took me to all threads I started....unless I'm missing it?

I see the "Unread posts since last visit" now has the forum name as a header for the latest reply and each is more positively differentiated from the next one - I.E> more easily seen, more quickly.
