I created my own day to day cleaner, works great. For a once a month or earlier as needed, Clean N Dull is the best, IMO. Many on here will say this and that leave a flim, I have never had that problem. Storm makes good products, but IMO the best deep style cleaner is Track Clean N Dull.

adding to a question... can you put the simple green mixture in a spray bottle, like lets say an old Black Magic cleaner bottle??? That would make it nice... but will it work???   http://www.donkee.com/blk_mgc_rejuvenator.htm(like the bottle on the right)

While I agree on the ratios in your recipe I would warn against using rubbing alcohol since it does have non alcohol ingredients in it.  Isopropyl alcohol, especially the 91%, doesn't contain those ingredients and is less likely to leave a residue since it evaporates faster.

There's still nothing anywhere near as effective as lighter fluid and a brillo pad! Use methane (cow or pig farts, if anyone is interested) if no lighter fluid is available ...

I put mine in a spray bottle that bathroom cleaner came in.  I usually spray the mixture on a paper towel or rag and then apply it to the ball, although it would be OK to just spray it on the ball.  If you're worried about a film left behind, simply wipe the ball with a wet rag then dry it off after cleaning.  --  JohnP

Zippo fluid is too tame; try some trintrotoluene. You won't have any problems at all. Go ahead, try it. Nirvana awaits you.
