The Breakpoint is a solid/pearl combo and the Fury Pearl is all pearl, as far as I know.
I just drilled a BP and it looked and felt very rough for a 4000 grit ball. I tried to use it on a Shark pattern, but it was too early for me. So I made sure it was at 4000 grit Abralon (P4000 grit). I sanded it with 2000 grit Abralon and then with a 4000 grit Abralon. It is still dull looking but the pearl part does look somewhat different fron the solid part.
You do have to be careful with 4000 grit pads since they wear away so quickly compared to rougher/duller grit levels. If you use it too much, it will put a light shine on the ball. That's a sure sign it's no longer at 4000 grit, but at some unknown smoother, finer grit level.
The Fury Pearl should still look dull but being all pearl, there can be a glimmer of shine here and there. And, once used, 4000 grit balls can pick up a lane/oil shine very quickly. They seem to need Clean and Dull or similar cleanigns more often than other grits and need surface refreshing more often than others also.
