I am the official PRINCIPAL of the NU SKOOL. In my skool, all pupils will throw OLD SKOOL equipment. One may have a new ball or two, but the primary ball must be OLD SKOOL. Newer is not always better.

That may have been true a few years ago. The old Lustre-Kings did use a waxy substance. I have been told the newer Lustre-Kleen machines use a true polishing compound.

1000 Abralon polished= sanded with 1000, then polished with Factory Finish, as stated above.

All the locals polish for as long as possible in the lustre king to calm those babies down!
If you don't do it for righties 4 9s and lefties 6 8s rule...right in the pocket!

Being from the Ebonite family, they probably sanded it to 1000 grit using an Abralon pad and then applied Ebonite's Factory Finish polish to it. Ebonite recommends that a ball be at least 800 grit before applying Factory Finish polish. When it does, balls get a veru nice gloss shine to them.
