Just curious if anyone has roughened up the coverstock for the Track Ultra Heat or Hammer Diesel?
If so, how did they roll afterwards?

I added 2000 to the Ultra Heat. For me, the ball read the friction a little too hard. This surface change blended it out just enough. It went from a ball that wouldn't be used much if any to a ball that I will use quite more now. It easily reads the lane a couple feet sooner and doesn't respond so hard to the friction now.
I do not own a Diesel, however this core cover combo is pretty early revving and very smooth front to back. If you would add surface to that, it would be even early and smoother than out of the box.

Alright, good info, thanks for sharing.

I did the same with my Ultra Heat.
With the Diesel roughing up the surface Adam is correct that ball picked up way earlier then I thought it would. Not saying it was a bad thing, if you rough up the surface on the Diesel, and you think the ball is not getting to the target or target area. It’s possible the Diesel is hooking so early you cannot see it. I would say try it one thing is for sure you not going to hurt the ball.
