Valentinos sanding discs
« on: April 18, 2009, 08:53:32 AM »
I have been interested in their sanding discs for quite a while but never tried them due to having abralon that was still new but recently i ran out.

I wanted to try out the method described in the post about storm/roto-grip and their ways of replicating OOB surfaces.

what better way to test this "new" method (to most of us) then to also test valentinos pads.

I purchased 320, 500, 2000, 4000 grit pads.

they were well worth the money and feel much stiffer then abralon which is most likely due to the backing on them. hopefully they last as long as people say they do, if thats true then they are WELL worth it.

I resurfaced 4 bowling balls and they all came out perfect. (domination, widow solid, ogre pearl, ogre ss) all with having just 1 of each grit.

domination = 320 - light 500 - 4000 then snake oil
widow = 320 - light 500 - 2000
ogre pearl and ss = 320 - light 500 - 4000

widow actually has that OOB look, but at 2000. reminds me of the look the gamebreaker had.

when i get on the lanes ill post again to report on the reaction i get.

doubt ill be buying abralon again unless valentino was to stop selling these. as usual valentino is selling top notch products.
