Ahh supplies...
« on: July 08, 2008, 06:23:23 AM »
So I finally took the plunge and ordered my own ball spinner, had okay success with homemade stuff but always had issues and breakdowns.

I Currently have these for supplies
Ebonite Factory Finish Polish
Beans' Sauce
Valentino Resurrection
Clean n' Dull
Ebonite Powerhouse Energizer
Some homemade cleaner
Some spray bottles for water and such

Got some abralon pads in all grits and scotchbrites.

A pretty decent start but whatelse should I look into acquiring?

Oh btw, its a 1/2 HP Vertex

Hmmm, I would say that you might want to get yourself a paper-towel dispenser, the type one would hang under a kitchen cabinet.

Also a bunch of rags (really handy), a small trash can to have near by and last but not least a plastic box to put the spinner in (to help control water and certain chemicals from flying around)

Anyway, thats a start, btw, I got my spinner almost two years ago and its probably the beat accessory that I got for bowling.

Table and surround to protect the area from spraying water, polish and gunk.
Devoted electrical outlet. Starting up a motor needs POWER/AMPS.

cheap terry cloth face towels.

paper towels (I use BOunty you need strong one)
Paper towel dispenser. (I hang mine from the basment ceiling joist.)

Racks/shelves on either side of the spinner to hold the current things you're working with. You never work with just 1 or 2 things at one time.

garbage pail

Always have paper towels within a hand's reach.

Non-abrasive polish.

wet/dry sandpaper (for resurfacing: 220, 280, 320, 400 US Scale:
Scotch-Brite nylon pads (maroon, green, light grey)

CAB

Ebonite Matte Finish: abrasive in liquid that takes balls to 1200 grit matte, no polish at all. Great stuff. ALmost an essential.
