Angular - Solid...??
« on: October 04, 2017, 02:02:12 PM »
What is your go to surface prep when you want to see how much backend movement you can get out of one of your solids? 1000+polish?...2000+polish?...5000 straight?

Being speed dominant the only pieces I polish are my spare balls.  I don't really get a lot of back end motion in general but probably see the most with 3000 or so but that is on my pearls.  Solids don't even try.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.

4000 + a lot of water + whatever polish you want to use to get the desired results.

At box finish (500 Siaar + Royal Compound), the Mastermind Intellect was the most angular solid ball I've ever thrown.

All great suggestions to get the desired results;  HOWEVER   on the other side of  the coin, be prepared for MASSIVE or er/under as well.

My Wipe Out is at 3000 plus polish for college burn. I do like 2000 or 1000 and then polish for more practical use.

If I take my 2000 grit Red Legend Solid to 4000, would it in theory flip over harder off the end of the pattern due to retaining more energy from the higher surface? It's drilled 30 x 4 x 70 with a P3 hole, so it's very smooth. Looking to squeez a touch more pop out of it though.
