Has anyone used 4000 abralon?  What lane condition do you find it works best on?
On drying out heads, but with some carrydown, do you need to be a cranker to use it?  Is it a surface that can be used by an older slower bowler with less hand?
any observations on changing the surface on a pearl reactive to 4000 abralon?

a ball finished with a 4,000 grit abralon pad is a good compromise. it's not polished so it won't squirt off the oil and yet has just enough traction to roll. not a finish for dry lanes but for a medium to medium-heavy condition it's great.

4000 is so fine that all it does really is take the gloss off the ball. Alot of people don't like out of the box finishes, so 4000 is perfect to get that off. Also used correctly it can tame down the breakpoint and make it smoother off the dry. Once you get into the 2000,1000 and less number the more you are looking at taking the surface down. But 4000 is so fine, again it really shouldn't be relied upon to take down surface and make the ball hook more.
