Title: Ball Spinners
Post by: elew on March 12, 2009, 02:54:54 PM
I was wondering what is the best ball spinner for the money and where could I purchase one without breaking the bank?

Thanks

Best bang for your buck is the 1/2HP Vertex spinner from Buddies.  Donkee and Innovative make excellent, high-quality spinners, too, but their prices are significantly higher.  For personal use, even frequent use, it's a great machine.

Vertex is our favorite spinner and a product we stand behind! My personal spinner is going on 7 years. These babies are built tough and do not wobble even with the CG parallel to the cup.

We actually have 3 package deals which feature the 1/2 horse model.

For me, it can vibrate a bit. It depends on how much top weight is left after drilling. An ounce and a half top weight makes it vibrate. I just move the CG more towards the top or the bottom. Nothing is perfect.

another vote for vertex 1/2 hp. I have owned 3 of them over the years and sold the first 2 but will not be selling the 3rd one anytime soon. LOL.

I have a buddy that has the donkee spinner and its no where near the quality of spinner the vertex is. The donkee wobbles and walks all the place when used. You almost have to attach it to the table your sitting it on..

Ditto the Vertex. I got the 1/3 hp single speed unit, but even with that, the quality is there, and I haven't personally needed the higher speed. Of course, I don't polish a lot, but I've seen no issues. Slight wobble maybe depending on ball placement, but solid unit. Thoroughly pleased I chose that brand after reading comments on this board.

Signature? I don't need no stinking signature...

Another vote for the vertex.
You can't beat the price unless you can find a cheap used one.

It is great for personal usage and will last you a long time.
Some pro shop may have more expensive kinds that potentially last longer, but you don't use it as much a pro shop would.
