Ball wipes
« on: March 10, 2016, 01:50:17 PM »
I don't hear too much about the bowling ball wipes any more.(steroid wipes, adrenaline wipes, reacta wipes, etc)

Is anyone still using these regularly during league or after league to clean their ball?

Do they all use the same cleaner/formulation/chemical?

Is there any brand that is better than the others?

I loved the original Powerhouse Adrenaline wipes when they were in the foil package. The newer ones in the plastic canister doesn't seem to work as well, but still does a decent job.

Storm, Motiv, Vise etc makes a similar product, at least the idea is the same. But their product isn't worth buying in my opinion.

I've read the ones in the sealable pouch are the ones to go with.  If they aren't sealed air tight, they will dry out quickly.

Yea, they did dry out fast. But they worked great.

There is a new version that is in single wipe packets, but it's the same as the ones in the canister, just wrapped individually. Not as good as the original ones that smelled so bad, but works reasonable enough for how convenient they are to keep in the bag. I don't use them for everyday cleaning of course, just when I don't have my bottle of Vise Cleaner handy.

Just remember, guys, that the adrenaline wipes were not designed as a cleaner but as a chemical aid to help the ball absorb oil faster, when the ball needed to have an oil extraction done. Oil absorption is one way that resin balls hook.

True, but those original wipes removed belt marks as well or better than anything else I have tried. :-)

I sprayed a little water on my dried out ones and they came back nicely.

I saw those. Be warned, a lot of the reviews say that these are not in the pouch but in the canister where the wipes tend to dry out.
