Legends or Track cleaners
« on: February 16, 2007, 01:59:11 AM »
I use Track clean and dull on all my stuff. I bought a Legends ball and got their cleaner and wondered if anyone has a opinion on the Legends cleaner compared to C&D.

I am not talking about the clean and tacky, I have 3 bottles of c&d.

I think the legends smells like a Cointreau which is a after dinner drink.lol

I use Legends cleaner (and a couple of others) as a daily cleaner. I use C&D as a "deep, once in a while, depending on dullness of ball and amount of oil played upon" cleaner.

C&D's instructions, if followed, AND THEY SHOULD BE FOLLOWED, do not really allow it to be used at the center before you put your balls away. It requires 3 paper towels and water. It should be done at home to be done properly.

If you wipe your ball after every toss, usually before picking it up for the next frame, and use a decent, BOWLING-BALL SPECIFIC, cleaner like Legends before ptting your balls back in the bag, my opinion is you shouldn't need to treat it with a special cleaner like C&D after every use.

I wipe my ball down with a micro towel before every shot. Been doing this for years. Just part of my pre-shot routine.

So if I clean my stuff with Legends or Track power wash before I put my ball away in the bag, this will make a big difference on how much C&D will have to be used later?

Thanks again charlest....

Yes.....If you have any lung problems, be extremely careful when using the Legends Cleaner as the odor it gives off can take your breath away/effect your lungs even in a well ventilated area. Track Power Wash or Black Magic Rejuvinator are equal in cleaning power and are safer cleaners to use.

Brick,

You really found Power Wash and Rejuvenator equal to Legends in removing all kinds of dirt?

I found Legends better overall (Best on oil and rubber belt marks), Rejuvenator a close second (but much worse on the nose & lungs) and
Power Wash so far out of the running that I don't even use it, except for cleaning balls while I'm modifying the surface.

I agree wiht charlest, Legends is the best everyday practical cleaner there is. Clean and dull being the best deep cleaner, haven't used the rejuvenator, but Brickguy, I have discussed this with you before and I understand where you come from on the health problems, that might occur.

All in all Ihave not tried Ebonite powerhouse, Track power wash, Brunswick remove all, and Legends, and the legends stuff is far superior to any of them. I bought a big bottle of the Ebonite cleaner, a while back, I ain't throwin it away so I just use it when i am practice bowling after 2 games or so, until I get home.
