Ok I thought I heard them all the stuff in the ball heating and hot water debate.
I found this in alt.sport.bowling its in a thread about should you use
the hot water/dawn method of cleaning a ball.

It was just that part-

>"tacky" enough to track?
Made me go "Say what?" I googled "chlorinated paraffins" it does seem to be a plasticzer I think. But not sure if they use it in balls or not.
