Best Polish available?
« on: January 12, 2009, 12:59:14 AM »
I am looking for a Polish that can give me monsterous backends. I only have one polish (Beans Secret Sauce) and was hoping to get some input before getting another kind. Want something to put on my One Pearl to have huge backends without the dull look. Thanks!

Sleepy,

You could just make your statement do you really need to resort to name slinging?

Sleepy LaBeef,

Calling charlest a moron is not appropriate. You're a new member so now is the time to gain respect here by treating others respectfully. charlest has been a member since 2002 and has more than 15,000 posts.

charlest happens to be one of the most knowledgeable guys on the site and any of us who are also "surface freaks" appreciate his sharing of that knowledge.

If you like the 3M Finesse-It, that's great. Many of us have also used it with some success over the years, but each of us bowl on different conditions so what may be great for you, may or may not be great for all.

We can disagree around here and still be respectful. That's the point I hope to make here, not to personally attack you.

rvmark, I wasn't name slinging, I was pointing out that A) it comes in smaller sizes, and B) it's cheaper to buy it locally.  I didn't direct my barb at anyone directly, but if you pay $30 + shipping for it, you haven't done your homework my good man.

Is it anywhere near possible that it's available in your area for that price and in that size and not in EVERYONE else's? I've looked on the Internet and had not found it anywhere for near that price you quoted. The last time I bought it I paid about $19.95 for a quart and I do and have done extensive internet shopping. Currently I have not seen it for less than $30 and only in the full quart size.

If you've found it for less, please share with us less knowledgeable people. That is one of THE purposes for sites such as this, rather than name-calling and feeling superior.

$30 a quart is too much but $17.95 for 16 oz. is tolerable?

Now, I'm just a public school graduate, but aren't there 32 ounces in a quart?

This is going to sound crazy but I get my best shine and roll out of Master propolish. The stuff in the red and white bottle that you see in those stupid bowling equipment vending machines. I love it. Quick and easy even if you are polishing by hand.
