I use both the sauce and 3m polishes. I also like track clean n sheen. They serve different purposes, although you can achieve your goal with either by adjusting the surface under the polish, and controlling the amount of polish and shine put on the ball.
If you are trying to deal with burnt heads and dryer midlanes, use the Sauce with no less than 1000 grit surface, and bring the ball to a modest shine. Any less surface (or excessive shine), and you will see a decrease in backend action.
The 3m finesse it is less sensitive to surface changes, meaning I have not used it on any ball and seen it make the ball skid as the sauce will on less surface.
If I had to pick one polish, it would be the 3m, followed by the clean n sheen and then the sauce, primarily because the sauce is so temperamental.
