Best Polish for Gravity Shift

I'm looking to resurface my Shift before the tournament i'm going in and was wondering how everyone else would resurface their balls? Any preferences on polish to use and how much so it won't skid, hook 3 boards and hit like a wet noodle?

If your looking for backend recovery, Snake Oil is the best polish!

For a resurface, I like to go 320, trip through the revivor (or water bath), 500, 800, then polish.

Gotta second the Snake Oil.  It's the only polish I use anymore.  Works great on a spinner or by hand.

Okay thanks, I'll probably try that 3-piece sample pack, i've always wanted to try all the different cleaners and polishes that have come my way.

i have used/currently use the black magic polish, and i really like it.  it gives you that length, but still recovers on the back end.  I have yet to try the snake oil, but from what i've heard it's awesome, along with Bean's Secret Sauce.  It's really all in preference though.  I'll probably pick up some of the snake oil and secret sauce here in the next few weeks to give them a try on my buzzbomb/r and NVS

Ya it's kind of a toss up on the Black magic, and the Snake oil, do you know which one goes longer before breaking? I need a good amount of length before it snaps due to our broken down lanes. How much polish would i have to put on so it doesn't skid and then only hook 3 boards?

from what i've heard, i would say the snake oil or secret sauce, both have gotten good reviews from people on here.  i haven't used either though so i wouldn't really know

Snake Oil breaks VERY hard regardless of length, but it's length is dependent on the underlying grit. You can find tune and dial in the exact amount of length by putting the base grit at 800 for little skid, 1500 for medium skid, 3000 for long skid and then 4000+ for maximum skid.

I think most of the storms can be brought back to oob with 800 grit sand and polish like storm xtra shine. Of course as Tom said it depends on grit surface before polish and how long you polish and how fast the spinner is going. Lots of variables!I haven't tried Snake Oil but I've seen a lot of good reviews for it. I'm currently using Beans Secret Sauce, it works very well.

Okay i'm looking for the amount of skid and i've decided to try the 1500 to get a little more length than OOB. But i've been talking to my driller and he recommended that I stay within the storm line with a bottle of reacta shine due to their new R2X coverstocks on their balls today.
