I am bowling in a new house this year. The oil pattern if I am right. The outside are oily but the middle is light oil. My red zone is highly polish now. I was thinking of changing the coverstock down to I believe 4000 abralon. Will I have better traction in the oil? Let me know thank you.

Yes.
However, if you plan to play in the oil, you may be better off at 2000 abralon. The other advantage to 2000 is that it will be more smooth once it finds friction. Good luck.
