Not knowing what balls you''re throwing, I''d just say in general you have two options.  You can dull the ball with either an abralon or scotchbright pad.  Or you can use a polish that will tame the backend.

I''d recommend going over with a green scothcbright or a gray scotchbright pad and see what you end up with.

If you''re not happy with the reaction, you could also try 1000, 2000, or 4000 abralon.

If that doesn''t work, try a polish like Valentino''s Snake Oil or Bean''s Secret Sauce.

If that still doesn''t work, try using a 2000 abralon, followed up with 4000 abralon.

If the reaction is still too strong, go over with 4000 abralon and follow it up with Valentino''s Snake Oil.

If that doesn''t work, buy a urethane.

There are a number of polishes that will reduce the backend and overall hook while adding length. One of the best of them is Valentino''s UFO. It works as advertised and is very easy to remove with a very mild abrasive, such as their own Resurrection or a P4000 grit pad. Other such polishes need a much more abrasive sanding like 400 - 600 grit to remove. Then they have to be taken back up to your desired grit level.

I would try one of your milder, lesser backending balls first or one sanded to P3000 or P4000 grit with no polish first. If they do not work, then try UFO.

i wouldnt say its too strong. strongest ball in my bag is a reign. majority of the house uses high end stuff like virtuals, jigsaws. but majority are low to med rev players. although i did score better (730) since ive adjusted my equipment to burn up more with the duller surface. this pattern isnt no wall where u hit the middle and it skids for you
