A while back one of our regulars (I believe it was azguy) suggested using used Abralon or Siaair pads as polish applicators. He said he did it to save money.
I have been trying this lately, over the last several months, using the back, the foam side of the pad (Please don't use the abrasive side to apply polish or anything else
) to apply polish and abrasive liquids, like Valentino's Resurrection. It's not just cost savings, they seem to make much better applicators of such liquids than most other cloths or plain sponges or paper towels which rip apart.
I also had one foam pad that I wasn't sure which liquid I had used it to apply. SO I soaked it in water, applied some dishwasher soap, rubbed it a little bit with my fingers to get everything out of it under warm/hot water and soon it was good as new. A new applicator. They're easy to handle, easy to hold to the shape of the ball and easy to re-use over and over. Try it!
