Columbia Scout/Reactive - Coverstock change
« on: October 20, 2004, 03:16:24 AM »
Has anyone succesfully dulled a Scout/Reactive?  I female friend of mine is having trouble getting this ball to hook, I offered to sand/dull it for her on my personal ball spinner.  Just need any suggestions if any one has any, I was thinking of taking it down with about an 800 or 1000 grit wet sand.

I'm thinking that 800-1000 would/might completely transform that ball. Why not try an internediate step, say 1200 or 1500 grit, as a test? Especially if you need it to be a little earlier. Yo can always take it to 800 or 1000 grit next week.
