I am looking to resurface my Danger Zone II Carbide. I was wondering if anyone had a cover sheet on it or can tell me what grit the surface is from the factory

Surface treatment: 500 micro pad rough buff
Coverstock CDZ Reactive is a coverstock developed by Brunswick to improve the mid-lane and backend traction of the ball on today's slicker oil and lane surfaces. The CDZ Reactive coverstock utilizes a new additive which increase traction along with faster oil absorption for improved hook potential. Danger Zone Core The Danger Zone Core is a low RG symmetric core with a high differential. The low RG engages in the mid-lane, assisting in ball motion, and the higher differential increases track flare potential. This combination gives the ball more opportunity to grip the backend of the lane while using standard layouts. Ball Motion With its Rough Buff box finish, the Danger Zone Code 2 Black Ice will provide excellent length through the heads with a stable motion in the mid-lane and a strong continuous backend hook to the pins

So a 500grit wet sand on all 6 sides of the ball will put it back to factory specs? Is there a specific sandpaper i need to use? I dont have the actual sanding blocks i usually use regular sandpaper.

Its been posted before on how to get the different finishes for each manufacture. Its 500 likely siar pad followed by appling the Brunswick rough buff polish. You may want to ask Charlest who post on here or call or email Brunswick.

You sure that's the same ball? I had a Danger Zone 2 Carbide back in the day (2004 or so), and from what I remember, it had the same particle-based cover as the Navy Quantum and Plum Power Groove.
I don't think I still have the drill sheet, but I can check when I get home.

Its the only DZ2 Ive seen in a while which is why I posted the link. This guy should be able to tell by looking at the pic if its the same ball or not. This ball uses basically the Alpha Max cover with a different finish.

The ball i saw on the link was definitely not the same ball. The ball on the link was a DZ2 Core 2. Thats not the ball i have. I have th DZ2 Carbide

OK, so after digging through the Family Archives, I found a copy of the drill sheet for the Danger Zone II Carbide. Unfortunately, all it says about the surface finish is "Rubbing Compound, Single Buff."
If I had to guess, and from what I remember about my DZ II Carbide, I'd say that 360 Abralon/Siaair on six sides followed by Rough Buff on two sides (with a buff on two sides) would get you real close to box finish.
