Title: danger zone red alert factory grit question
Post by: armswing on September 22, 2008, 06:40:48 AM
I resurfaced my red alert to remove a bunch of nicks to get a smooth cover. I used a cad with 160 then 320. Where do I go next? trying to get back to brunswick original finish.

I would suggest using a 1500 grit polish, My old red alert is at 1000/then a coat of Snake Oil.

I remember the original cover wasn't super polished, just a light polish.

factory finish was wetsanded 600 grit and two minutes in the lustrekleen machine. use brunswicks rough buff over your 600 grit surface and you're ready to go.
