Different Scotch Brite Pads - Where?

Could I ask where you guys get all of the different scotch brite pads?  I am only able to find green ones.  Unfortunately, the green ones are a bit too hardcore for the current ball that I have.

DIY markets, or automotive parts. In my local DIY markets I can get white (1.000), grey (800), green (600 grit, I think), maroon and red (400 grit) Scoth Brite pads, and a limited assortment of sand paper.

Finer grits and maybe rubbing compounds will rather be found in a car parts or painter store.

Ballreviews.com user/seller gilaz33 has these (contact through the personal message system), not sure of how he is bundling them. Also, sells on ebay. With the price of gas, might just save you some time and effort, the net purchase might be the way to go.

i got my red and grey pads from this guy...

AutoBodyDepot

cant find them anywhere around here, good price too.

in the box comes sheets, approx 3 pads per sheet.
its enough to last a single user many many many years or a pro shop a few years.

so...
i have
Gray - 800 Grit
Green - 600 Grit
Burgandy - 320 Grit

anything higher i can achieve with polishing the base grits.

Get them here. This guy is a great guy to deal with as well as great prices and will ship within 24 hrs. or less. A huge number of people on this site order these Scotchbrite Pads as well as Abralon Pads from him.

Blue pad.

I got a bunch in BJ's Wharehouse. They were attached to sponges which makes it very convenient for use on a spinner. Sized about 3"x 5", in packs of 15 or 20 (I forget which). They also had sponges with green pads attached. I got a packet of each. Wouldn't be surprised if Costco also had them. They're in the kitchen supplies section. We also use them at the kitchen sink.

Red: 400
Green: 600
Grey: 800
Blue: 1000
White: 1200

They sell blue ones at my local grocery store.  Maybe I could just get some of those.

Remember these colors are only for true 3M ScotchBrite(R) pads, pads by different companies may have a different color order to their grits.

White pads may be 1200 or 1500 grit, but it's VERY hard to get them to make an impression on the hard surface of a resin or urethane or polyester bowling ball.  I wouldn't bother to get them to change the surface of a ball. You'll virtually stop the motor of a spinner before a white pad affects the surface to any significant degree. NOT a good thing!

Some people have used them with Track's Clean and Dull to clean a dull or a polished particle WITHOUT affecting the surface's grit or polish level.

I use a white pad with a cleaning solution of equal parts rubbing alcohol, Simple Green, and water on my AZO Drastic Spec R.  It does a geat job of cleaning the ball and leaves it with a ~1000 grit matte (or what I call matte) finish.  --  JohnP

Good point...  Ok, let's try this:  Where is the best place to get Scotch-Brite brand pads of different colors and grits other than eBay auctions?
