discoloration on track
« on: July 04, 2021, 02:37:42 PM »
I first saw this on my hustle ink. i thought that was just some wear but I noticed them again on my money badger tour and it has less than 10 games on it.  There are two white lines that go around the ball and it appears to be where my track is. My Iq tour has some lines on it as well but not as prominent as the money badger tour.

What could be causing that?

I thought I heard somewhere (maybe Randy said it during a show) that black balls technically arent completely black, that they are a really deep purple.  That doesnt really make sense to me why a black ball would have purple in it (unless it is a multi-color ball).  But it may explain why you are seeing purple in the track in this situation.

I remember many years ago, a friend of mine had a Nitro R/2 test ball that looked black.  But after throwing a few games, his track was purple whereas the rest of the ball looked black. This ball was used on newer synthetics in a Brunswick center that had just opened.

Interesting I had the r2 and it was purple.  Maybe it was going to be black?

I remember my hyroad x had the same lines in the track, so maybe it’s just the dark colored balls that look that.

Thanks everyone for their replies.  I’ll just hit it with the pads when the lines appear. Again, I didn’t see any change in the performance when the lines appear.
