Drill press indentations?
« on: October 27, 2010, 05:48:26 PM »
Hey guys, I just bought a Mission NIB from my pro shop but when I picked it up I noticed it had some indentations in the coverstock that almost look like from a metal drill press. I noticed that its the same markings on the opposite side of the ball for each mark (2 sets) so it must have been resting on something metal and pressure applied. There is one indentation going across my track and one going with my track. Do you think this will affect the ball at all? I used it two times, but once was on a Cheetah pattern and the other on a burnt up house that I rarely ever go to so it was hard to judge. The indentations do not look like scratches, but they do pretty deep and I'm not sure throwing them on my spinner at say 360 grit and bringing the surface back to OOB will fix it. Should I bring it back to the pro shop and get another or will it be fine? My driller wasn't there at the time I picked it up, so I couldn't show it to him, so maybe someone else did it and he had no clue.
