Confusion when talking about grits
« on: October 05, 2008, 07:19:47 AM »
I don't know about anybody else but it seems like a mass of confusion these days when talking about what grit is being used on a ball. If somebody says they used 1000 grit you don't know if it's a p or an a standard. Could be we need a sticky for this forum explaining what's going on with different grit standards so everybody winds up on the same page when talking  about grits.

See, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Is that granulated or powdered sugar?

Sugar in grits? Are you crazy. Grits are best with a little butter and cheese. Crumble up a little bacon or sausage and presto, Breakfast of champions. Or atleast my 4 year old.

Again with the misconseptions! What kind of cheese do you use, and is that bacon with 25% less sodium or just normal?

Exactly, If I'm going to take the time and eat the bacon I don't want to get shorted on my chances of high cholesterol

Do you know how much cholesterol your body produces all by itself?
A lot. It's an essential nutrient that you body needs!!!
That's why when some a**holes about 12-15 years back started screaming, "DON'T EAT EGGS.THEY CONTAIN CHOLESTEROL AND IT'S BAD FOR YOU". About 10 years later, scare gone, eggs are no worse for you than yogurt. They were just another bunch of idiots without ALL the information.
