I started bowling this year in an older house that has these rubber baffles that the balls hit after moving through the pins. Evidently the owners did not take as good a care of these because I end up with these rubber splotches on my ball at a decent rate, roughly three per game. Now with a sanded ball I can use alcohol and a scratch pad to remove these but with a polished ball I end up removing the polish from the affected area.
I tried a non lotion based baby wipe but even with a good deal of elbow grease I don't get all of it off. Any suggestions as to a better way to remove this stuff from my ball without affecting the polish?
Thanks for any and all information.
