Does a bowler with a spinner's release need more surface on a ball for medium to med-heavy oil patterns.Suggestions welcomed

Yes. Especially on longer oil low track players ahev difficulties to get the ball to finish - it hardly get into a roll, so it deflects easily. A strong core with an earyl roll setup as well as a matte surface help to get the ball to finish soon enough. If you already have a ball drilled but it finishes weak, do not hesitate to get the ball to 800 for medium or 400 or even 320 grit for oily shots.
