Storm Reacta Clean All Purpose Cleaner
« on: September 01, 2009, 10:46:09 AM »
Will this cleaner remove polish from the ball, If so is there a good cleaner that WILL NOT remove the polish/shine of the bowling ball. The last cleaner i tried after two weeks of using it.It made my nice shinny/polished ball pretty dull looking.

Thanks

I have used several different cleaners from a variety of companies, and found you can't have it both ways! The ones that don't knock the shine off, also don't get the rubbery, gunky spots off also. The stronger ones will get everything off, including the polish!
But to answer your question Storm Xtra Clean,Ebonite Energizer, and Valentino's Remedy Rx will not knock the polish off very quickly. At the other end of the spectrum, Legends cleaner will take EVERYTHING off. It acts almost acetone like!

OK, Then could you suggest other good ways of cleaning a polished bowling ball? besides just wiping it off with a towel? as i do not care to have to re apply polish to the ball every two to three weeks

I haven't tried them all to say, but Powerhouse Power Wash seems to keep a shine on.

no, this will not take the polish of the ball....  if you have a spinner, instead of polish'n the ball... use'n it will put a bit of "shine" on the ball.. i use it on some balls with 2000gt or higher and have gotn great results!!
