I'm not sure what PITA is in your context. All I know is I think I finally learned what Doc at Innovative is talking about as far as maintenance. He's a smart guy but likes to talk a lot and I couldn't absorb what he was saying because I wasn't following him. Basically behind the wheels inside the spider assembly we want to grease anything that can potentially make contact with the rubber boots while they are spinning. The same is true on the outside of the spider assembly.
Then there's the area underneath the "rest pad" as if it's an actual pad. That little cup on the bottom of the spider assembly needs oil along with the spring underneath. This just prevents rust. The reason we needs grease for the other thing with the rubber is the oil will run off and dry up as the shaft spins where grease will stay in once place.
I'll make a video of this as well.
