Gold Scotchbrite
« on: March 28, 2009, 07:47:47 AM »
Has anyone found this in their area?  I know it's available at various online woodworking or finishing websites, I'd just like to know what sort of stores you may have found it at.

Sounds awfully close to 2000 abralon, but with a longer life.

I found a box at an auto body supply store. It comes in a roll, but every 6" or so there's a perforation so you can tear or cut the next pad off. I use these all the time.

It's been awhile, but it seems like about $21 or so.

Thanks, Dale.

Here's a link to an online store with what we found. There should be about 30 pads in the 15 foot roll. One roll would last you quite a long time.

Depending on how you use them, speed of spinner, amount of water used, hand pressure etc., you can get from approximately 1200 to 2000 grit finish.

Follow the above link to "repaintsupply", but approximately 1200 and up, depending on how it's used.
