« on: November 29, 2017, 09:34:13 AM »
Has anybody ponied up $50 and tried Hook Juice Home Edition yet

https://ctdbowling.com/products/hook-juice-home-edition?variant=1042845401115

$50 for one treatment and you do it every 50 games. That bucket you mix up better do a bunch of balls.

I think they only went half way with the name of this product. What more could a bowler want than HOOK and HOLD.  HOOK  and  HOLD JUICE what more could you ask for.

How much hook do a Nirvana,Scandal etc. needs? This product is bs and I am a new bowler. I see people with the purple stuff but I won't try that neither.

I really appreciate the comments and wanted to help clarify a few things.  Hook Juice is legal as it doesn't soften the ball. This product has been in use by consumers for more than a year.  Our first beta home version was 2- 8 ounce bottles. The final product is 1- 32 oz bottle.  We did this because the truth is people don't read the label. We wanted to make sure the product worked even if they were slightly off with the ratio. Unlike hot water / whatever else you want to add to it. This product improves the performance, by increasing the backend hook. That's important, because most products that increase hook do it mechanically, like sanding, that make the ball hook earlier not later.  This product even works on a brand new ball.  It's a chemical change to the cover more than a cleaning of the cover. That is what makes it different than other products that exist.  The Pro Shop Version uses a Detox, and speeds up the process to 30 min. Since you mentioned the cost, I wanted to say thank you for sharing the product with the ball reviews community and offer you a 50% off coupon to try it for yourself. So you can try it for $25 available for 1 week.

I always have appreciated this group, even when I was at EBI. Love us or hate us we appreciate the promotion. If you want more information or have more questions send a email to help@ctdbowling.com

Just type in HJ50 when you check out for 50% off of Hook Juice

It's a chemical change to the cover more than a cleaning of the cover. That is what makes it different than other products that exist.

Then, BY THE STRICTEST DEFINITION, it IS illegal.

When you chemically change the ball, you alter it from the configuration that was approved by the U.S.B.C., and circumvent the approval process altogether. You are skirting the rules by offering a product that chemically alters the surface of the ball, and you damn well know it. You worked in the industry long enough to know better, yet you’re still doing it.

SHAME ON YOU.

I.M.H.O., you are either a liar out to make a buck off the innocence of people’s ignorance, or an outright idiot that doesn’t understand the English language.

Either way, I will never use your junk.

I did not see on that site linked by RonaldHickland for the Hook Juice anywhere where it was stated Approved By USBC, nor did I notice it on the USBC Approved list.  So... did I just miss it?

I hope no one wastes their money on anything this con artist sells on that crappy ass bullshit website. It's all snake oil with funny names. I doubt the crack staff at ctd bowling has one person with a chemistry degree or a law degree selling crap they say is "approved by USBC" but is not a the approved list....

Hey Ron, anyone tell you today? Go +++ yourself.

Gotta love the people on here that dont try something but know everything about it. Makes me laugh. All pretty big talkers but nothing to back it up. Like I said..I paid for it, I used it and it worked. Im not a chemist, scientist or engineer. I bowl, I know what works and what doesnt. I'm not pimping the product here and never posted about it until I saw this thread. If you want to take my word for it, fine, if you think its snake oil, fine. Do what you want. Criticizing a ball or a product without using it or seeing it used is foolish. Just my opinion.
