I just realized how important coverstocks really are...
« on: March 21, 2004, 05:21:55 AM »
You know, now that i think about it, coverstocks really are the most important part of the ball.  Why do i say that?  Well, for one thing, look at the Bruisr and Slayr.  They have the same core, but the cover stocks are completely different, so the slayr is a burnt ball, while the bruisr could be sanded for heavier oil.

Another example is Lane 1.  The reason they have any differentiation between some of their balls is the cover.  I mean, look at the XXXL.  If that had a reactive cover, it'd be a good ball for oil, like their other stuff.

So, the next time i look for a ball, i'm definitely going to pay attention to the coverstock.
