Title: Inferno resurface question

I know there's an answer to this somewhere in here but I can't find it.  So, if you resurface an original Inferno what do you take the surface down to prior to the polish?  I seem to remember it was either 320 or 500 grit but am not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

factory finish was wetsanded 400 grit and polished.
