Just wondering if anyone has tried this item or heard anything about it. Did a search and found a little discussion about it but nothing about how well it works or it's quality.

So I put a Vivid in the Revivor for an hour and a half.... nothing came out of the ball. I not sure if the heat doesn't get distributed evenly enough to get the oil out or what. The ball has 75+ games on it without ever baking it. I have done 1 resurface job to it about 30 games ago. Going to try another ball tomorrow that has 125+ games to see if anything happens to that one.... tomorrow will be take 2

How often and how well did you clean the ball, during its regular use?

I have a very rigorous cleaning regimen and most of my bowing balls hardly absorb oil at all (plus I bowl on lighter oil). So when I tested a ball rejuvenator recently, I went through 10 of my balls before I found one to "give up" a significant amount of oil.

+1 on my own experience using NuBall, which is essentially the same product.


After coming up 'dry' on most of my own equipment, I de-oiled a friend's Columbia ball that hadn't been maintained in over a year. It took me 6 full one hour de-oil cycles to completely get all the oil out. You're rejuvenator probably isn't defective. I wouldn't worry on that.

Ordered my unit Sun night and got it Wed. Today I put my Brunswick Nexxus (red and black) in to try it. I had recently done a hot water oil removal on this ball which is sanded. They recommend 4 15 minute cycles, turning the ball 180 * each time. After the first cycle the ball was covered in oil. Each cycle afterwords there was less. They don't recommend more than one hour without letting the ball cool so as not to cause core damage. Ball does get very warm to the touch. Now have my DV8 Endless Nightmare in and will see what happens there. The instructions are pretty simple but they do not say much about the temperature control other than to say set it in the middle.

HAHA me clean a bowling ball!?!? I don't! So that is why I was confused on getting nothing out of the ball. I personally like the $2000 oven that Innovative has. I just don't have the money to purchase the big guy. I just don't think the personal oven circulates the heat evenly to extract the oil out of the ball. Sorry it took so long to get to you. I just buy new equipment when the old starts fading away.
