Title: Lane #1 Bowling Ball Surfaces
Post by: john178 on May 13, 2012, 11:38:18 AM
Does anyone know how Lane #1 surface finish translates to 1k, 2k, etc. abralon surface finishes ?

i.e. my Pink Panther and Pearl Panther both have the 6421 Compound 2X surfaces.

Thanks,
John C.

I believe their "6421" refers to 60 micron pad, followed by 40 micron pad, followed by 20 micron pad, followed by 10 micron pad.
10 microns is approximately P2000 grit FEPA.
See this chart from Mirka, the manufacturer of Abralon pads:

I also believe that their compound is an abrasive polish.
