Title: Lane Masters Surface Cutting Compound
Post by: slap on March 27, 2008, 12:32:33 PM
I noticied this product on their website. Does anyone here have any experience with it?

FWIW since it says, "to achieve 1200 - 1500 grit finish", I assume it's very like Ebonite's Matte finish (1200 grit) or Track's Clean and Smooth (1500 grit), a 1200 - 1500 grit abrasive in a liquid, with no polish added. I have not used it yet.

My bottle of this compound arrived yesterday. The instructions do not contain a suggested starting grit before applying the compound. I will probably begin my experiments with a gray pad or 1000 abralon pad.

I've emailed Lanemasters but I haven't received a response yet.

Here is the reply from Lanemasters:

The surface cutting compound will bring the ball from 320 up to 1200.
