Storm Step 2 vs. Track Clean 'N' Smooth
« on: August 27, 2003, 06:27:39 AM »
Both of these polishes purport to finish a ball to a 1500 grit surface.  I've used the Storm product extensively and 1500 grit seems about right to me.  I haven't used the Track product, but since I'm running low on the Storm Step Two, I've been considering trying out the Track product.  While the prices vary from on-line shop to on-line shop, the constant is that the Track product is substantially more expensive for a quart.  Is there any reason why I should spend more for the Track?  It claims to also include a cleaning agent, but I have already taken care of cleaning by the time I use a polish, and I'm quite satisfied with the cleaning results that I get.

Has anyone used both of these products?  Is there any good reason to spend a lot more for the Track?

They have it at my usual site for polish:  www.blockbusterbowling.com.

It's $28.95 for a quart, $12.00 more than for the Storm Step Two, which, by the way, they list as producing a 1200 grit surface, which is incorrect.  Storm Step Two gets you to 1500 also.  Blockbuster has had that same typo on their list for sometime now.

The difference is -
Far too many processes imply too many variables involved. The more separate processes involved to complete a procedure, the greater the chances are that you will never repeat every process to get the same results next time.
