Making a spinner

A friend of mine is going to make me a ball spinner for me as a wedding/ moving away gift.  He doesnt know what type of motor to get though.  Could someone who has made one or knows what to use please let me know.

Nevermind the slump anymore.  Dropped to 15 lbs again and havent shot below 650 in a month now with 4 720+

The only reason I stated what I did is that I was able to make mine for $40 and it works better than most spinners I have used.  I never put that I had finished making one or maybe some of the confusion would have been solved.  I havent had anything fly out so far though I'm sure that's always a chance.  Never taken a manufactured one apart to see how it is made.  Of course me making mine for $40 involved being lucky enough to get a free washing machine motor.

wulfpackbwlr, I was not trying to offend you or anyone else by making the comment about quitting. I was trying to make a point that in this game you will spend money on alot of things. A new ball in the proshop will set you back more than the spinner new from buddies and imo the spinner is a better investment than a new ball. Maybe you don't have $200 right now but just save your money for a while and buy one new. It will save lots of time and headache and will be well balanced and have warranty. Its your decision though, I was just giving my opinion. Again, I did not mean to offend with my comment about quiting, but if you don't wanna spend $200 on bowling this is the wrong game.

I will add that if you can build one yourself and have a reasonable technical ability go for it.
I am very proud to show mine off and my ball driller was amazed how good it works. He has a tub spinner and cost him a lot over here in the UK and its not as sturdy as mine.
I just think if you are good at DIY then it gives you a lot of pride to build something that others cant even buy.
The ball spinning off thing was fun as well, something everyone should experience at least once   Good, fast hands helped.

my home made one works great. my dads a machanic so he built one. you just have to put your foot on it to keep it stable.
