Let's talk about this shall we? In the first video, the ball before hook juice struck, albeit not impressively. Then we "improve" the reaction with hook juice, and the ball goes through the face and gets 5. So 5 pins are better than 10?
Anyone who thinks extra hook or extra backend automatically makes the ball better is absolutely incorrect. It is entirely conditional, this is such an antiquated way of thinking when I used to have all kinds of people come in asking for the biggest hooking ball on the wall. It would be like playing a round of golf using your driver for every shot. "Well it hits the ball the furthest so it has to be the bestest!!"
Step 1: Buy the ball you need or want, make the appropriate cover adjustments to dial it in for you and the condition.
Step 2: Use a shammy, it prevents the vast majority of oil absorption, which is the factor that will make it lazy on the backend.
Step 3: Regularly clean your ball.
Step 4: If it loses reaction, give it an oil extraction, preferably a Detox, return surface to where you had it.
That is all. That is all that needs done if the ball loses reaction, it's not $200 for a new ball instead of $50 for hook juice like you claim, it's $50 or less for a Detox, a resurface, or both to get the ball back to where it was and where you need it via treatments that actually work and are completely transparent and understandable rather than $50 for some hocus pocus. Never in my life have I seen a concentrate solution that you need the whole 32 ounce bottle for. Simple Green you need like an ounce per gallon of water.
Furthermore, Ron claiming "well people don't read the label and we wanted to make sure people got the ratio right." Really? There are a lot of times people don't read the instructions, but you give somebody a bottle of something and tell them mix some of this with water and soak it, the VERY FIRST QUESTION THEY WILL ASK WILL BE, "oh, ok, well how much do I use?" With cleaner, it's always, "how much or how often?"
Hook Juice and the idea is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, all it does is take advantage of the vast and myriad misconceptions in the bowling world to make a buck, that's all this is. There is no data provided, there is no measure of how much it "improves" performance, it's likely just a generic cleaner or a mixture of them with some food coloring with an extremely poor quality infomercial.
As long as I'm making money I'll spend it on whatever I want. I can buy 50 new balls if I wanted but I wanted to try the product. I have a snap lock didnt want to get rid of it so I saved it. I have a successful business selling on Amazon....hence the name. But I'm not dollar foolish, I can buy any ball but why throw away another 200 bucks? I "risked" a big 50...and it paid off. And before anyone asks, I dont sell bowling products on Amazon or anywhere else. I sell products and if anyone had something negative to say about it without trying it they would be pretty stupid. My suggestion would be for any of you negative types that are against Hook Juice.....Dont buy it, but to sit there and be a keyboard warrior talking bad about something you know nothing about...makes you look like an idiot. I never used used Turbo tape, it sucks, its snake oil, not worth the 15 bucks a roll, it comes off easy...BUT I never used it...lol
