Can u use a substitute for ball polishers? Maybe like window glass polisher or car polisher?

no you can't. dont be cheap, you'll end up with a real expensive spare ball.

You can use any of the auto polishes that are intended for fresh paint buffing, just don't use wax or silicon based products.

here are a few that I know are safe because I have used them.
3M perfect it (various grits)
Mequires Medium #1 or Heavy #4 cut cleaners
Wizard Turbo Cut (quit aggressive)

These are all safe on new paint and since modern auto paints are urethane based they are also safe for use on balls.

I want to polish my Flash Flood, which is burning out (I think) It is said to be for heavy oil, but I seem to be able to hook it on really broken down lanes only (& I tried to use it on fresh oil)
