Wow....
There you have it, first impression.
I got a sampler kit of the 360/1500/2500. I know it's supposedly best by hand, but I tested it today on an old RG Theory in the spinner first... Great! I agree the scratch patterns are more dense and it removes more material, providing in my opinion more effect. I then tried it by hand on the reverse side, and was also very impressed. I can easily see this as the perfect touch-up for the lanes.
Next will take it to the lanes Sunday and test the results.
Also, I cut the pad in half and used it with my Innovative hook and loop Abralon pad holder (whatever the %^& it's technically called), which worked flawlessly. It was almost equal in size to a 5 inch Sia pad. *Yes, I know, 9 inch /2 = 4.5... No curling noticed yet at this size. I figured if anything would make it curl it would be rinsing it off. They are drying on the dish rack now, and looks like they might curl a little, but not much.... It's logical to assume that a 4.5 length would curl less than a 9 inch length... I can see using the Turbo Sandbagger and keeping it in place by using a full length pad in the pocket, but the results by hand looked so good I'm wondering now if I even need it.
As for cost, especially if I'm cutting pads in half, and even if I only get 4-6 sides of a ball per half (I'm sure it will be more)... For what we spend on everything else... Seriously? This is not a problem.
Bottom line, experimentation will continue. First impressions... well, as I said.
