Had something happen to me today that I thought I would relate to anybody that has a ball spinner. I have a 3/4 hp Innovative single speed spinner. This spinner does not slow down no matter how hard you press on the ball. I have it sitting in a big Rubbermaid plastic storage container. Well I was working on a ball with sandpaper and accidentally knocked a towel that I had draped over the edge of the container onto the spinner. It caught on the ball cup and started whipping around. I almost reached in to hit the off switch on the spinner but thought better of it. I think the towel might have opened my hand up. Before I could reach the plug the towel caught the power cord and the cord started wrapping around the cup shaft until it stretched and broke, shutting the power off. For sure I will never again hang anything over the side of the container while the ball is spinning. I just thought I'd pass this along and maybe save someone else a problem.
