My findings are the same as Khamul's
Extender finish, I believe, just has lots of abrasives and not the silicones that Delayed and Control-It have.
If JohnN originally sanded to 2000 Abralon and used Storm's Xtra Shine, it is no longer at 2000 Abralon, but is finer and smoother, depending onhow much XS he used and how hard he pressed. The exact number is a complete unknown. That is why I suggested just applying Delayed Reaction over it.
I have found Delayed Reaction somewhat easier to get results with over Control-It, which may contain less silicone (they call it a "slip agent"). In any case, to remove them, you need to re-sand the ball thoroughly.
