Motiv Power Gel Clean
« on: February 06, 2010, 09:41:21 PM »
I picked up a bottle of this cleaner after buying my GT1 and it works well when getting the oil and dirt marks off as much as the basic cleaner. Was checking to see if anyone else likes it as well as the other products that Motiv has (Polish and Scuff)?

However, I did noticed when I bought the Track 505C that there was something in the box stating that gel cleaners are not recommended because it might damaged the coverstock. Don't know if that's true since the Power Gel is USBC approved and have used it on my 505C several times.

I haven't used the Motiv cleaner, but I have used Clean n' Dull on all of my equipment, including my Track 505C.  I don't think you have to worry about using CnD on your 505C, however, DO NOT leave the gel on the ball, then place it in the microfiber pouch.  This was discussed here:  http://legion.trackbowling.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1523
Hope this helps.

The Power Gel clean is awesome, good for the environment, good scent, and cleans exceptionally well and is very good prize for the size of the bottle.

Wow, didn't know that it could do that to a coverstock. I don't use the pouch to clean my 505C, just a regular microfiber towel. But I do make sure that the gel is completely wiped off.

From the looks of it. Its not so much the cleaner harming the ball. Its the cleaner reacting with the pouches, that in turn then harms the ball.

But still you should remove the cleaner from any ball, before you bag them.
