For the most part, unless you plug it up and re-drill it for more length, the obvious fix is to add polish with a spinner machine. However, in both cases, the increase in length for a ball that is already a polished resin pearl will be minimal. Besides, if the lanes return to "normal", she'll need this ball as it is now again.
I'd suggest that unless the ball is tracked out (tons of small and larger scratches and chips in the track which make the ball bite the lnae early), that you get her a used, milder, less aggressive resin pearl ball. Maybe even a 1 lb lighter one that she can throw slightly faster. There are lots of such balls available: Columbia Scout, Brunswick Power Groove, Storm Big Hit, Ebonite Tornado. All these are relatively cheap, (about $100) even when new and drilled from a pro shop.
The used ball will be or should be cheap. People here are constantly selling such.
