Valentino's UFO...
« on: April 14, 2009, 12:41:40 AM »
First time out with Valentino's UFO...

Took my Storm Street Solid (OOB), put it on my spinner.
Used about a quarter-sized dab of UFO on 2-sides of the ball.
buffed it in, hen sprayed the ball with water, and burnt it in for about 20 seconds each side, with medium pressure.

I was surprised at the reaction of the ball, as everything I read abut UFO, was 3-4 ft. of extra length and reduced back-end hook.
I was able to play the lanes about 6 boards further left (lefty).
The ball easily got down the lane....but had great recovery and hook.
I missed one shot by 5 boards, and thought it wouldn't recover, then when it did I thought it would punch nose, it left a solid 9.

I shot 241 the first game, Opened up the next game with the first 5.
Ball held pocket amazingly well. I shot 195. 3 rails one in the 10th.

Changed balls and ended the night with a 170 game.

Very pleased with the product.
I'm just working my way back into bowling, and I'm physically good for about a game and a half...

Give UFO an A++++.

Are there any reviews from people who have applied the product by hand?

Glad to hear the great results!

It truly allows you to relax on light/dry conditions and throw your A game!

You decide.
UFO reduces the overall hook, reduces the backend and increases length.

I was having trouble with my Lane 1 Super Nova XP...
Was to strong from outside 15, and couldn't carry the corners from insdie 15...
Put a coat of UFO on it...Moved back out 8-10 board shot 255-268-245 (practice).
I wouldn't rule the UFO out...If you have a ball that doesn't quite fit in to your game, put a coat of UFO on it...If it doesn't work, you can easily bring it back to the surface you started at.

UFO is a nice option...for those pieces that you don't quite like.

Every house is different so UFO's results are on a case per case basis. In centers with faded oil that tapers to a stop in the backend you will see a much more gradual hook into the pocket, In centers that have a crisp sharp end of oil line you will have a much more hockey stick like backend. but as Charlest mention UFO does reduce backend, so the hockey stick will be less aggressive than normal.
