Proprietors seemed to have really gotten smart! to particles.
In other words they have done a lot of the following reduced teh volume of oil in the heads and mids and lenghtened these low volume shots. These often make particles somewhat ineffective. They bite early on the low volume and then if they don't go high at the breakpoint they don't create as much backend as pure reactives to create enough hook in the few feet of dry left!
However in the new realm of non particle particles ie Infernos, Bullies and Soakers?
It appears that these balls handle this new crappy condition better.
Whether they really handle high volume oil better is a question I don't know since I don't have one.
But from observation at tournies it seems they get thru the heads better and have a little more backend than pure solid particles. They actually look like they hook better and more evenly than reactives and also get thru the heads better and don't create a trough in the pattern quite as quick!
