Title: New to the cover manipulation game....good primer?
Post by: splendorlex on May 03, 2005, 02:19:38 AM
I never really thought of messing with the grip of my ball through sanding or whatnot, outside of wiping the oil off, so are there any good sites with a good intro to the practice?  As in when to sand, what different things to try, etc?  Or maybe there's a good beginner's post here somewhere.  Thanks!

If using a spinner (which I would suggest), folks at Vertex.com (makers of ball spinners) provide instruction regarding coverstock manipulation.  Both polish and sanding.

No matter where you get your info, (I do think Vertex's site and info is very good), I would suggest you use the 6 step method. I have found that there will be less mistakes and a bit better finished product. Just my opinion, but I always use the 6 step for everything I do.
( One exception...MINOR cover adjustments )
